Macie Cam

Macie got a kiddie camera for Christmas and I was laughing at these as I went through them the other day.

Winter Hijinks

We finally had some sticky snow and were able to build a snow family. We also enjoyed the Forest Hills Borough Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire. The boys were busy throwing snow balls at people. It was rescheduled for last night due to the wind chill being -25 on it's original set date. We enjoyed temps in the 40's last night!

Also are some pictures of our day at the Train Museum with our good friends Rob, Bob and Mary Gast.

After researching posts from last year, I see that the reunion is July 2-5th. Can this be confirmed? My roommate is trying to plan a visit from Minnesota at this exact same time and I need to let her know what is going on. By the way, if it isn't booked yet, I vote for leaving all our kids home and going somewhere warm and exotic. Seriously. I am sick of cold. And snow. And kids. AND Janet could drink lots of slushy/fruity drinks on the beach :) We love you, Janet. Having been in hospitals your whole life, you may not have the same feelings I do, but I LOVE being at the hospital! It's so quiet, you have your very own tv, AND they bring you food! Doesn't get much better than that.

MEDICAL UPDATE

I went to see the surgeon yesterday and the Grand Opening has been scheduled for Friday, February 20. I was so happy when he explained that he could do the surgery endoscopically, instead of through a 10 inch long incision. My Gastroenterologist had told me that was not possible. It will take place at my home away from home, Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

So I will have 6 one inch incisions and be in the hospital for 3-5 days and eat mushy, squishy foods for 2 weeks, be unable to lift anything heavier than my fork for 6 weeks and then hopefully I will be able to eat without worrying whether it is going through my esophagus or not. If you want more medical details, I have a hand-out with graphic pictures, but figured that the family was not ready for that at this time.

Adventures in Denver!

I'm pretty sure that mom has an appointment with her lawyer to write me out of her will if I don't post some pictures from our post-Christmas visit with Jamie and Kacie in Denver. Good thing I didn't have a date tonight so I could post to the blog instead! ;)

Picking up the goods!

Game night eventually got off track...

The off track-ness continues!

Estes Park is LOVELY!

Crafty McCrafterson Jr. wearing one of the bracelets she made

A cute picture of Foofy walking to the game room

Gramps and his blazing fire!

Getting ready for some serious marshmallow roastin'!

Texty McTexterson in the flesh!

A glimpse of the s'mores/marshmallow clagfest!

Games and snacks (always food, right?!)

Grandpa ROCKIN' his pink 2009 glasses!

Two cute girls! (Notice Crafty McCrafterson Sr.'s tie-dye shirt she made in Estes!)

I LOVE this little girl!

And I LOVE her big sis!

Dropping the goods off! :(

It was so good to spend time with these cute girls! We ate (of course!), shopped, played games, laughed, chatted, cried, hugged, and ate some more, before we had to send them back home. They are such cute, cute, cute, cute girls...sure glad they're part of our family!!

Basement Project

For some strange reason we decided to start finishing the two bedrooms in our basement. Putting up the drywall has been a learning experience, but with one room down I think I'm finally figuring out all the tricks.

I also wanted to add pictures of a recent Riley dance-a-thon. Notice that she's wearing Valerie's boots...We hope everyone is doing well.
