Future Reunions

I figure it's never too soon to start planning future reunions, and I'm already beginning to think about the next reunion, since it seems like desirable gathering places often require well over a year's advance notice for reservations.

If it's not already just understood that we plan to repeat at the Reunion Ranch next time, I propose holding an '09 reunion in or near Glacier National Park, Montana. If this idea also interests others, we might already want to start checking availability.

Margie and I have wanted to visit GNP for some time, and this would be a great opportunity to do it. Let me know what you think, and maybe we can start looking into options there. I think we'd like to do something a little earlier in the summer this year, like say around July 4th.

Thanksgiving Vacation

We wanted to post some pictures of our Thanksgiving trip to Chicago. The theme of our trip was "Trains" since we went to a the "World's Greatest Hobby Train Show" in Chicago and rode the Amtrak back home. It was a lot of fun. The boys were so excited to ride a train...and when I say boys, Scott is included. Since we've been home, he's been on the computer planning a train excursion to Oregon and Glacier National Park in 2009. The pictures are in Chicago, at the children's museum, the train show, with cousins, and on the train. Hope you all had a yummy Thanksgiving!

Denver Trip

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Denver last week. The time flew by as Grandma and Grandpa kept us busy with a myriad of activities - Chuck E Cheese, Swimming, The Zoo, Build-A-Bear. The picture of the Truckers Chapel was taken at a Truck Stop in Laramie, Wyo.

Halloween

Here are a couple of pix from trick or treating. The real trick was dragging Bubba's butt around in a red wagon because she was too tired and slow to keep up. She wasn't into the ordeal since Halloween is her favorite holiday and she wasn't able to haunt the halls of any haunted houses this season. She's been pretty bummed, but as soon as the school district gets a teacher out to the house, and she and I can start hitting the books, I think she'll be better.

Just a brief note, I am closing on my condo on Friday. Feel free to come visit anytime, but don't show up without a TV, shelves, a couch, plants, utensils, a spare bed or a plant. Other than that, stop on by.

Hope everyone is well.

Touching

Congratulations to Margie! Her performance as the "embattled Rachel" in the play Inherit the Wind was called "touching" by Pittsburgh's most widely circulated newspaper, the Post-Gazette, in its review here of the play!

Hallowienies...

We had a very fruitful...or should I say...chocolate-ful...Halloween. The weather was perfect and Felix was the last Trick-or-Treater standing in the neighborhood. Here are some pictures of the boys in their costumes and enjoying the spoils of their Trick-or-Treat labor. Here, also, is a picture slide show taking us from summer to fall. Click here to view. We are currently enjoying our visitors from the west...Grandma, Grandpa, Lizzy and Maggie...who arrived earlier this evening. Felix is looking forward to a few days of wearing them all completely out and Rex is going along for the ride. I'm sure we'll have some more pictures to post in a few days...perhaps on Rex's upcoming 1st birthday. Happy Halloween, Goolies!
