The top two pictures are before and after shots of Macie's tongue. For those who didn't hear, she had a very minor procedure done to clip her frenulum (aka - the piece of skin that connects your tongue to the bottom of your mouth). She couldn't even stick her tongue out past her teeth. You can see in the picture how it was so tight that it pulled in the middle. To avoid any speech problems, and the possibility of teenage harrasment, she went under the knife. It was an outpatient surgery at the hospital since she had to have anesthesia. She doesn't know it yet, but this is her Christmas present!The bottom picture is what our bed looks like every Saturday morning!

Have you seen any immediate results after the surgery?
Well, she can stick her tongue out now! She had speech assessments before and she was ranked as "borderline". We have yet to have her tested again.
Saturday morning snuggle time is TOO cute! I've GOT to get up there and see you guys!!!
