Yes, this is a picture of dad with his arm stuck behind the couch. Apparently he was trying to retrieve a bouncy ball and the next thing we knew, we were extracting his arm. Thankfully we didn't have to amputate.

As Paul Harvey used to say, "And now for the rest of the story". Not only did Grandpa attempt to retrieve the ball, he was actually able to pick up the ball and swing his trapped arm up at the elbo and hand the ball to his other hand (the one on his untrapped arm)and then give the ball to Riley before he was rescued.
Love the pictures. You guys are such a cute family.
Way to go Grandpa! I'm glad your story didn't have the same ending as Aron Ralston.
