Exciting News

Just wanted to share the news that Margie this week auditioned for and landed a part in a community theatre's production of a play titled "Run for Your Wife."

In just her second audition ever in Pittsburgh, she got one of the two female lead roles.

We're very excited for her. If the crew records one of the performances, we'll copy it and post some of it for the family to view.

Congrats, Margie! Just to let everyone know, I switched us over to the new Blogger format. Hopefully this will allow Dad to post. All you need to do is create a new account. This may be easier said than done, but I have confidence in everyone.

Great news! How fun to get away and do that...I must admit that I am kind of jealous. In other news...we hear Scott has been lucky enough to be called into the bishopric! Fun times. That will be real fun for Margie to wrestle both kids by herself..blessings are on thier way, right!? :) NOt much new here. Riley regressed back into the violent phase. We are excited for the reunion. Riley talks about the "sleep over" we are going to have all of the time. I am looking into some stuff we can do. I really want to hike what is called Table Mountain. It is a really hard, all day hike, but it takes you right up to the Tetons. It is the most amazing view ever. I will try to post some pictures of it as incentive to start training. Margie and Scott, I already have confirmation that Grandma will watch the kids! -Valerie

Yay for Margie!! That is so fabulous and wonderful! As for
Valerie's training incentive, I think I'll be assisting grandma with the childcare! Besides the fact that I would embarrass myself by attempting to climb a mountain (you would all want to push me off after about 5 minutes), there's not exactly a good training spot in Vegas! You'll have to bring me back pictures of the view! :)

I'm up for a good hike and would love to see the view from on top. I was telling Scott that hiking always sounds like such a great idea until I'm actually doing it, and then I remember how wimpy I really am as I dream of being back home taking a nap. But regardless, I like to sweat, have many pounds to shed, and really miss the mountains, so count me in! Amy, you can take the nap I'll be dreaming of for me.

Uh, someone better walk dad through the switchover process...it WAS easier said than done! I got my name switched okay, but had to go through a separate process to get this blog on my new account. I'm going to attempt to get Maggie set tomorrow.

AMy, you can do it! This hike has no climbing, just hiking. the treadmill, eliptical, and stair-stepper are great ways to train. I know you are busy, but you should plan on it. It really is cool. It would be a once in a lifetime kind of thing. Unless, I guess, this reunion spot becomes a tradition. PLUS, about 6 years ago some hikers got dehydration on top and had to call Teton county for help...guess who picked them up in his helicopter? Harrison Ford. He often lends his chopper flight services while at his vacation home. If that happened, none of us would hold it against you :) It wouldnt though, only idiots forget to drink water while hiking :) I know you could do it. - Val
